How to Merge PDF Files on Windows, Mac and iPhone

Forms, applications and email often need one PDF instead of several. Here is how to combine them on any device — without sending your documents to a server.

Open the Merge PDF tool → Free, nothing is uploaded

Any device: merge in the browser

  1. Open Merge PDF and drop your PDF files.
  2. Put them in order with the ↑ ↓ arrows.
  3. Click Merge PDFs and download the result.

The files are combined by your browser, so bank statements, contracts and ID scans never leave your device. Text stays selectable and quality is unchanged.

Mac: Preview

  1. Open the first PDF in Preview and show thumbnails (View → Thumbnails).
  2. Drag the other PDFs onto the thumbnail sidebar where they should go.
  3. Choose File → Export as PDF to save the combined file.

iPhone and iPad: Files app

Put the PDFs in the same folder in Files, tap Select, choose them in order, then tap … (More) → Create PDF.

Windows

Windows has no built-in PDF merger; use the browser method above, which needs no install.
